PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Actuarial Mathematics (CM1) gives students a foundation in actuarial modelling principles, with a focus on deterministic models and their application to financial products. It teaches the student the fundamentals of actuarial modelling, interest rate theories, and mathematical approaches for modelling and valuing cash flows that are either certain or contingent on mortality, morbidity, and/or survival. The course covers both theory and the application of concepts to real-world data sets using Microsoft Excel.
